Peter Hunter

Managing Director

Peter A. Hunter, Founder and Managing Director of Artemis, is a successful executive with over 30 years of business experience. Peter founded Artemis Capital Partners in 2009 and currently serves as the Chairman of Adcole Corporation, Ohio Tool Works and Superior Technical Ceramics. Additionally, Peter serves as Board Member of portfolio companies KCB Solutions, Janis Research and StanChem Polymers. Peter is also a Board Member of the non-profit organizations GBMP and Stone Family Adoption Assistance Fund.

Prior to forming Artemis, Peter was a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Axia Capital Partners. Peter represented Axia on the Boards of Innovative Pressure Technologies, Hydroid and Fiberoptic Components. Prior to forming Axia, Peter was the CEO of Innovative Microplate, where he grew the firm’s revenue by 100% and led the eventual sale of the Company. Peter also served as the CEO and Director of Inspectron Corporation, a machine vision hardware and software company focused on the factory automation market. Under his leadership, the company grew over 400% in less than three years and ultimately sold to a strategic buyer in 2002. Prior to Innovative Microplate, Peter served as Executive VP, COO & CFO for Data Instruments, a manufacturer of industrial sensors and factory automation equipment. During his twelve years at Data Instruments, he initiated and completed seven acquisitions that provided significant growth to the company (revenues of over $70 million) and ultimately led to the sale of the Company to Honeywell International in 1998.

Peter was a CPA for Deloitte & Touche, and he received his JD in Corporate Law and BS in Accounting from Suffolk University.
