Norwood, MA January 31, 2023 – Tekscan, Inc, an Artemis portfolio company and designer and manufacturer of flexible, ultra-thin film force and pressure sensing technologies, has announced that it has hired John M. Jutila for the position of CEO. John not only brings over a decade of leadership experience within the Instrumentation space, but also a proven track record of successful strategic development in markets that require constant innovation and excellence.

With depth of insight and targeted executive expertise and professional successes spanning over 35 years, three continents, and positions spanning from Sales & Marketing and Management to Corporate Development and Executive Roles – John will be essential to the continued success of the Tekscan thin-film sensing thesis as the Company continues to progress through Artemis’ value creation plan.

Commenting on his new role, he states, “For almost four decades, I’ve worked to be at the forefront of innovation in electronics, software, and sensor instrumentation technologies. Tekscan has been pushing the boundaries of what is possible with impactful applications ranging from robotic surgery and dental imaging to orthopedic rehabilitation and vehicle safety. I will leverage my leadership experience and insight in these markets, along with the talented Tekscan team, to engage with partners and customers worldwide in continuing to pursue ‘the art of possible’ for tactile sensing applications.”

John has more than 35 years of experience at companies like Hewlett-Packard, InterDigital Communications, Nokia, Polypore International, Champion ONE, and Ripley Tools. He holds several degrees and certifications including a DBA from Grenoble Ecole de Management, a MBA from the University of Toledo, a BBA in Venture Management from The Wharton School.
