Mark Ain
Founder, Chairman and former CEO of Kronos
Mr. Ain founded Kronos in 1977 and as CEO led it to become one of the world’s most successful software companies. Under Ain’s leadership, Kronos sustained one of the longest records of growth and profitability in the software industry and earned the reputation as the market leader in workforce management.
Today, as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ain remains actively engaged in Kronos operations. Mr. Ain serves on various for profit and non-profit/charitable Boards. They include KVH Industries, Inc., LTX-Credence Corporation, Simon School at University of Rochester, SpaceClaim Corporation, VeruTEK Technologies, Inc., Walker School, and YMCA.
Mr. Ain has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and earned a master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in organizational development and marketing, from the Simon School at the University of Rochester.
